    Testing Requirements for 2nd Gup - Brown Belt


     1. Verbal or written examination covering
        A. List the chain of command in your school/club and within the ACDK.
        B. Rate in order of importance these examples of a good instructor:
            appearance, command voice, compassion, knowledge, plan of action,
            rank.
        C. Explain the philosophy of the ACDK patch.
     

    2. Basic Techniques
        A. Demonstrate Kibon #1 from a tiger stance
        B. Cha Gi Sul (kicking)
            Combination techniques from a back stance using a back leg pivot
            hook kick follwed by each of the following...and ending with a punch.
             1. Back leg front kick
             2. Axe kick in-to-out
             3. Axe kick out-to-in
             4. Pivot round kick
             5. Pivot side kick
             6. Spin back kick
             7. Spin back kick / side kick
             8. Spin back kick / hook kick
             9. Jump spin in-to-out axe kick
            10. Jump back leg front kick

    3. Poomse (forms)
       Tae Geuk Chil Chong

    4. Hahn Bohn Gyo Roo Gi (one-step sparring)
        Attack and couterattack are done at full speed and maximum intensity.
        This is only for advanced students with precision control.  The choice
        of counterattacks is up to the student

    5. Jah Yoo Gyo Roo Gi (free sparing)
        Free spar three rounds with different opponents demonstrating:
        A. Selective and properly timed offense
        B. Reaction defense with scoring counter
        C. No contact control
        D. Light contact control
        E. Full contact with protective gear
     
    6. Hosinsool (self-defense)
        A. Arm wrap when both attacker and defender are in seated position
        B. Throat grab from front while in seated position

    7. Breaking
        Be prepared to break with one of the following combinations
        A. Jump front kick / double punch
        B. Jump twist round kick/ side chop
        C. Flying spin back kick
        D. Jump spin hook kick / punch
